Divorce (Dissolution)

In New Zealand, a divorce is referred to as a “dissolution”. You can apply to dissolve your marriage or civil union once you and your ex-partner have been living apart for two years. If both parties agree, having your marriage or civil union dissolved is usually a straightforward process and we can assist with drafting the required documentation.

If one party does not agree then the application can be slightly more complicated. Our lawyers can help in both situations.
